They are a proven mix for young and breeding birds. DufoPlus and Ioford give excellent results when given at the first sign of lethargy in the aviary. Benefits of Dufo Plus DufoPlus is a potent water-soluble vitamin (A, D, E, and B Complex) free of any sugar or glucose and preserved in nitrogen. It is used to bring out the true colour of the birds, to improve breeding performance and to relieve stress. It is commonly used in combination with Ioford. Sugar Free – DufoPlus can be given for two consecutive days. This is possible without affecting its potency.. Intensifies Colors – DufoPlus intensifies the yellow colour range of the feathers within three weeks of use. Improves fertility – Breeding birds need more vitamins and DufoPlus contains those vitamins needed for breeding success. Stress Reliever – The B vitamins in DufoPlus are used as the first line of attack against stress when the young birds enter the aviary, during the first juvenile moult and for the entire breeding season. It is used in conjunction with DufoPlus to improve colour intensity, fertility and egg quality during breeding and as a stress reliever. Ioford is also used to invigorate the show bird prior to showing. Ioford contains iron and iodine at the correct levels. Iodine is the most important trace element for a good moult and for successful breeding, but in overdose retards the thyroid gland and therefore depresses breeding performance and retards the moult. Many breeders use iodine and iron but very few if any know the exact requirements for their birds. An overdose of iron damages the liver. Iron given at the correct levels enhances health and accelerates the recovery from stress or illness. Ioford intensifies the colours and brightens the white of exhibition birds -The iron in Ioford intensifies the colour of blues, greys, grey-greens and gives a vivid white on the head and wings.
